INSTALLATION HELP

License Plate Frame
4-hole frame – 2-holes in the vehicle

When installing a 4-hole frame on vehicles with only 2 holes, use the extra screws and nuts to secure the frame in the two unused holes and install the screw covers. When doing this (rather than using a 2-hole thin frame), there won’t be two empty holes showing in the license plate.

Installing TOP engraved frames

Our top engraved frame kits come with a special stainless steel adapter plate that allows mounting the plate and frame assembly from the bottom, even if the holes on the vehicle are at the top. There is nothing to drill or modify in any way. This is a simple installation and all the necessary screws are included. It's very neat and unique.

Snap the 2 nylon nuts into the slots of the adapter plate Attach the adapter plate to the vehicle at the top holes with the original screws. Mount the plate and frame from the bottom holes in the nylon nuts with the screws and cap retainers that were included. Snap the caps over the retainers.

Hardware and screw covers

Hardware caps: When installing the screws--don't over-tighten them. You are only installing a license plate and frame. It doesn't take a lot of torque to hold it on the vehicle (unlike a wheel). Over-tightening of the screws distorts the retainers and makes it very difficult to snap the screw covers in place. Screw covers must "snap" onto the retainers or they will fall off. When properly installed the screw covers act as a theft deterrent.
